"Praise The Lorde Sunday" journaling and group reflection #PraiseTheLorde

“Once we begin to feel deeply all the aspects of our lives, we begin to demand from ourselves and from our life-pursuits that they feel in accordance with that joy which we know ourselves to be capable of. Our erotic knowledge empowers us, becomes a lens through which we scrutinize all aspects of our existence.” — Audre Lorde, “Uses of the Erotic”

The erotic is individual and communal. It’s creativity, intuition, pleasure, and deep participation. And each taste of erotic experience raises the bar on every other aspect of life, making it harder to settle for suffering. The erotic is power, a critical catalyst for social change. How do we learn to harness the power and wisdom of the erotic? Can we know ourselves without knowing the full extent of our erotic power and value? What can the erotic offer for Black feminist futures? And how do we make social justice the most pleasurable human experience?

Church is in session & our Lorde wrote the sermon. Get hot and heavy, intimate and intellectual with us as we explore the idea of an internal yes through a collective vulnerability practice and meditative journaling exercise.
